Daley, Richard M. Richard M. DaleyDaley, Richard M. (1942–) a US politician who was mayor of Chicago from 1989 to 2011. He is a member of the Democratic Party, and is known for his policies to improve schools and community policing (=police officers working with residents to prevent crime). His father, Richard J. Daley, was mayor of Chicago from 1955 to 1976.
