1 Using small-sized semicoke can avoid lacking carbon in furnace bottom and is favourable to inserting electrode deeply, enlarging crucible and reducing eletricity consumption.

2 Pyrolysis gasification semicoke charateristics of two kinds of fresh biomass were studied in order to better investigate the pyrolysis gasification mechanism of fresh biomass.

3 The semicoke is poured by turning tray of the sealing chamber of semicoke screw conveyer to the speed-up zone of the aerofountain combustor (hereinafter referred to as AFC).
