Pol Pot Pol Pot /ˌpɒl ˈpɒt $ ˌpɔːl ˈpɑːt/ (1926–98) the leader of the Communist Khmer Rouge group, and prime minister of Cambodia from 1975 to 1979, during which time about 3 million people were killed.
