1. A new inorganic ion-exchanger, zinc antimonate, has been synthesized.

2. Potassium antimonate was employed to ultrastructurally locate calcium ions in seminal root apical meristematic cells of maize seedings subjected to flooding stress.

3. The synthesis of sodium antimonate from antimony concentrates by chloridizing leaching-oxidation and hydrolysis decomposition-alkali synthesis process is investigated.

4. Potassium antimonate was used to locate calcium in the fertile and sterile anther of a thermo-sensitive genie male-sterile rice at microspore mother cell meiosis stage and at early microspore stage.

5. Results showed that in normal cells the deposits of calcium antimonate were mainly located in the cell wall, the vacuoles and the envelope of chloroplast.
