1) Methods 25 cases of chromophobe renal cell carcinoma were studied by routine stain, immunohistochemistry, Hales colloidal iron stain and 3 of them by electron microscopy.

2) Chromophobe renal cell carcinoma is a kind of relatively rare renal cancer, and it is about 4%-5% among all the renal cancer in the corresponding period.

3) These slides of the specimen were compatible with chromophobe renal cell carcinoma.

4) A series of 47 surgically removed pituitary chromophobe adenoma was studied with light and electron microscopy.

6) The histological subtype was clear cell carcinoma in 40 cases, papillary RCC in 2 cases, chromophobe RCC in 2 cases, angiomyolipoma in 24 cases, adenoma in 1 case.

7) Objective: To discuss the diagnosis and treatment of renal chromophobe cell carcinoma (RCCC).

8) According to these, this tumor can be differentiated from granular renal cell carcinoma, mixed renal cell carcinoma and chromophobe renal cell carcinoma.

9) Conclusion: Multi-slice helical CT was effective for differentiating clear cell from non-clear cell carcinoma, but has little value in differentiating papillary from chromophobe RC.

10) Methods The clinical and pathologic data of 19 patients (10 men and 9 women; mean age, 53 years) with chromophobe cell renal carcinoma (9 on the left and 10 on the right) were analyzed.
