(1) The other interesting binocular object in Lepus is the globular cluster M79.
(2) In 1981 E. lepus was first discovered in rabbits in HeBei province.
(3) It is probably best found by looking directly between Achernar to the one side and Lepus to the other.
(4) Any of various mammals of the family Leporidae, especially of the genus Lepus, similar to rabbits but having longer ears and legs and giving birth to active, furred young.
(5) The Chinese rabbits, which originated from Oryctolagus, belong to the homologous Family but not belong to the same genus as the common hares of Lepus.
