(1) Early in the programme a few specimens of achondrites were found in both the Allan Hills and Yamato ice fields.
(2) Most achondrites are very old, dating from im-mediately after the formation of chondrites, perhaps even overlapping that time.
(3) Aeroliths are further subdivided into two classes: chondrites and achondrites.
(4) Three small NEAs have spectra very similar to those of basaltic achondrites and of the asteroid Vesta.
(5) GR 99027 meteorite from Blue Ice Area in Antarctica is an achondrite.
