(1) Butyraldehyde 1,2 propanediol acetal was synthesized by using stannous chloride as catalyst.

(2) The effects of the synthesis conditions such as monomer(lactide) purity, catalyst(stannous octoate) concentration, vacuum level, reaction time and temperature, were discussed.
