Volvo Vol·vo /ˈvɒlvəʊ $ ˈvɑːl-/ trademark a type of car made by a company which used to be Swedish, but was bought by Ford in 1999. The cars are still made in Sweden and sold under Volvo name. Volvos are considered to be very safe, strongly-built cars.
