Stevenson, Adlai Adlai StevensonSte·ven·son, Ad·lai /ˈstiːvənsən, ˈædlaɪ/ (1900–65) a US politician in the Democratic Party who competed in the elections for president in 1952 and 1956, but was beaten by Eisenhower both times.
